The Meaning Behind Kijani
Kijani is a Swahili word meaning green.
A farmstead is a homestead within a farm — the living and farming situation for the majority of farmers across the continent.
Our hypothesis is simple yet powerful:
When we improve living conditions on farms, we elevate productivity — and when farms are more productive, communities live better. It’s a mutual, cyclical relationship with no wastes, but better lives.
This belief drives everything we do at Kijani Farmsteads.
